Happy Birthday DANI!!!

Today is my youngest sister, Danielle's birthday. She is 22 and best of all, her and her husband told us all on Christmas day that they were going to be having a baby. I CAN'T WAIT TO BE AN AUNT AGAIN!!! I love being an aunt. You get to spoil them and get them all wound up and the give them back to mom and dad. I'm so happy that they're pregnant, I know that they have been trying for a few weeks now. It's going to be awesome, I hope they have twins!

Back at school

So I'm back to work now. It was awesome having the last week and a half off, but now it's back to the old grind stone. I have 2 practices today and 5 tomorrow, so it's business like usual. It's nice to see everyone and to see what they did for Christmas. Most of them, of course, didn't want to come back but such is life. The men's basketball team has a game on Sunday so they really need to get back to it. They're having 2 practices tomorrow and Saturday to prepare for their game. It's supposed to snow a ton tonight into tomorrow so we'll see how that goes.

TIME OFF!!!

So I'm off this week until the day after Christmas and then it's back to the old grind stone. It's kinda nice having a few days off in a row. We went shopping Saturday and then I went yesterday and got everything finished. It was really nice to have everyone done. I also babysat my niece today which is my favorite thing on earth to do. Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas.

I was paid for this post.

Snow Day

So WPU was closed yesterday due to the hellacious winter storm we have been receiving for the past 2 days. We got around an inch of ice and then some snow on top of that. It was a pretty good one. My in laws in Ottumwa don't have power and neither does their schools so they don't have school. There are some people in Osky that don't have power either so they didn't have school again today either. BRATS!!! I had to come to work though today. The high ways were fine, it's just some of the side streets that really suck.

Men's basketball and wrestling have all gone home too since they are done with competition until after Christmas. Women's basketball has a game Wednesday, Friday and Saturday and then they'll be finished for a couple of weeks. It's nice to have a long break and I can't wait to bake cookies and see everyone for Christmas.

Human Touch HT-7450 Zero Gravity Massage Chair

During the holiday season I get very stressed when I start thinking of bills, presents, traveling and all of the other hassles that we deal with throughout this particular time of year. Well I found something that helps me to relax when I’m all on edge about things. It’s the Zero Gravity Massage Chair from Human Touch. This line of Massage Chairs is not like any other massage chairs on Earth. This spectacular invention practically reverses the adverse effects of gravity on the body. The HT 7450 Zero Gravity Massage Chair calibrates the body frame of the individual sitting in it and adjusts according to that individual’s unique physique, so each massage in the HT 7450 is perfectly focused on the right areas of the body. The speed, intensity, location, and technique can then be adjusted according to an individual’s preferences, or specialized Accupoint programs can be used for particular types of relief or relaxation. So if you or someone you love is in dire need of some relaxation, remember to look into buying a HT 7450 Zero Gravity Massage Chair. I was paid for this post.

Working Weekends

So we were supposed to only have a woman's varsity basketball game this afternoon, but somehow our woman's jv team is playing at 12:30 and our varsity is playing at 3:00. Well that's ok I suppose. After this Eric and I have Reese for the evening so I'm SSSSSSSSSSOOOOOOOOOO excited about that. We need to run to Wal-Mart too to get a bunch of stuff. I hate going to there, but we'll be in Ames all day tomorrow at the Iowa vs. Iowa State wrestling meet. It's going to be so crazy. Aron is wrestling 174# and I can't wait to watch him.

Have I said how much I dislike Mondays?

So Friday was my birthday and I had to work till about 10 PM. So that was a bummer. But when I got home, Eric had fixed me fajitas, which are my favorite. And I got to open my birthday presents. He got me the next 3 books in the James Patterson series I'm reading and he got me the Fergie c.d. Not quite sure why he got me that except I like the song "Big Girls Don't Cry". He also had an awesome birthday cake made for me. It was a round chocolate with chocolate frosting and he had them write Happy Birthday Heb on it. It was very sweet. I was a little disappointed though. I spent like $400 on him for his birthday and he probably spent about $50 on me. I know that's not the right way to look at it, but I'm always buying him stuff off of ebay and bringing him surprises home and he couldn't even get me some more stuff. I'm being a brat about it, I know that, but my feelings were hurt. Sometimes men just don't think.

Working Late

So tonight we have a men's varsity basketball game so I didn't have to come in until 1. Which is very nice. I like coming in late, it makes your day go by faster, but it also means that you have to stay late. I'm sick of working nights and weekends and holidays. I wish I could find a clinc where I only had to work 8-5, no nights, no weekends, no holidays. That would be soooooooo awesome. Especially when we start having kids. We'll cross that bridge when we come to it I guess.

Holiday Cheer Throughout the Year!

I'm having difficulties finishing up with my holiday shopping. I need to find those last minute stocking stuffers that everyone loves so much. You know what's even better than buying them, is saving money while doing so. That's why I love to use promo codes while I'm shopping. I especially love to use them while shopping at Wal-Mart and target. So if you need to do some last minute shopping, be sure to check out promo codes to save yourself so cash. I was paid for this post.

Job Opportunity

So I was called last night by the vice president of a company that hires out athletic trainers and physical therapists to other companies that pay for our service. He said that he was very interested in speaking with me about coming to work for them. When I talked to Josh about it, he mentioned that Jake might want to come back here and that he would be making a lot more money than I would. So if that happens, I'm saying screw Josh and I'm going somewhere else. He must not respect me enough to fight for me to make more, but he'll let Jake come in and make just as much as he is as our head athletic trainer.

LapBand by JourneyLite

Are you significantly overweight or know someone that would benefit from losing a lot of weight? If this is true than I suggest you consider looking into lap-band ventura. The lap-band system is the only modifiable and completely reversible weight-loss surgery available in the United States. The lap-band is designed to help you lose excess body weight, improve weight-related health conditions and enhance quality of life. It diminishes the stomach capacity and controls the amount of food that can be ingested at one time. This procedure will allow you to feel full and satisfied while you actually eat less and lose weight. . I was paid for this post.

Happy Birthday BOB!

My uncle Bob's birthday was yesterday. He's awesome, he is honestly one of the greatest men I know. He's has his own business, Certified Pest Control. He's very good at what he does because he know's everyone and is friends with everyone so everyone wants him to spray their house. He's hoping to get a partner and do lawn care as well. They would make lots of money doing that.

I really, really dislike Mondays!!!

I really, really dislike Mondays especially when I have 5 days off for Thanksgiving break. It was a great break. We didn't do a whole lot. We had 2 Thanksgivings on Thursday. Other than that we went and set traps and then checked them on Sunday. We went Christmas shopping for a little while on Friday but didn't buy anyone anything. I need to get on the ball though because I usually am almost finished by now. Oh well, I 'll get done.

I'm Off Today

Our offices are closed today because of Thanksgiving vacation, but I'm in town because I'm going to pick up my niece and we're going to run to Wal-Mart. I need a few things to make food for our Thanksgiving dinners. I can't wait to see Reese. I haven't seen her since Friday. She's so awesome. We'll have to play with her kitchen set and she'll cook me meals with play dough.

Tuesday Afternoon

We had an athletic's department meeting today. Same crap, different day. They say that the PAC is going to be done in March now. Yeah right, I'll believe it when I see it. I can't wait to get in there, we'll have everything new and I'll actually have my own office. I can even shut my door and have a moments peace from everyone. It'll be so exciting, maybe we'll get to start moving stuff over Christmas break. Hopefully we'll have some kids around that can help us move stuff over there.

Last Day Of My Week!

Today is the last day of my week. Well I have to work on Sunday afternoon but other than that, I have the rest of the week off. We have thanksgiving at Eric's grandparents' house on Thursday at 1 and then we have my family's thanksgiving at 3 too. I love this time of year!!! My birthday is in 10 days and I'm not too excited for it to come. But Eric is really trying to be sneaky with my gifts. I wonder what he's getting me. I love getting presents.

Goth Dating Site

I love to look through websites such as classmates, myspace and facebook to find old friends and classmates that I have lost touch with. I also use it to take a look at my students and what they have been up to since we last talked. It is also fun to keep an eye on my relatives who use these fun sites. It is nice to be able to see what people are up to without having to call them and be stuck on the phone with them for a long time. But I was recently introduced to a website for a different type of person. This site is geared towards Goth singles and it features thousands of profiles and pictures of other singles just like you. It is a dating and personals website meant for Goth, Dark, Fetish, Vampire, Heavy, Extreme Music and Alternative Culture. Not only is membership free, but you can also “send a wink” to someone you find interesting. They also have a cupid that will find you a compatible person who you can have a free video chat with. So if you are a Goth single and are looking for other Goth, Dark, Fetish, Vampire, Heavy, Extreme Music and Alternative Culture people, check this site out. I was paid for this post.

Monday Afternoon Meeting

So it's been very slow today. It always feels this way after football ends. I had my meeting with the athletic dirctor today about my plans to stay around for awhile. He was worried that since I am getting married that we would be leaving Iowa or at least this area soon after. I assured him that we planned on staying around since both of our families are here. I told him that Josh and my plan was to get a 3rd trainer hired and then I could lessen my hours, but still work full time and keep my benefits. I told him that I would love to get $50,000 a year and not have to work another day in my life. He thought that was funny. He said that all of the coaches really like me and like the way I do things. It's nice to get a compliment since usually all we hear are complaints.

Garden Buildings

Do you need a change of scenery? A new place to get away to in your own home? A new place to work out and exercise in? A new work space to make you more effective and efficient? Or maybe you just want a new place to relax in and enjoy your family or you quiet time? If any of these sound familiar, then maybe you should consider garden buildings. They are an original, inventive building that you can design to meet you and your family’s needs. You can decide on how big you want it and where you want to place it and a group of technicians will come to your home (only available in the mainland of the United Kingdom) and put it up for you. They feature four different styles of garden buildings: contemporary, cube, curve and then you can design your own. All of which are constructed for you to meet your needs. So if you think a garden building might be something you are interested in then be sure to visit their website to see all the beautiful pictures they have posted to choose the perfect one for you. I hate Mondays!

So I don't really care for Mondays at all. We didn't get a whole lot of sleep this weekend. We went out to eat on Friday night and then went back to my parents house and played Catch Phrase with my aunts and uncle and cousin. It was a blast. I love that game. Then we were up early on Saturday and went and set traps. Then my sister Danielle came home so we all fixed dinner together at my parents house and then we all went out and had a couple drinks. It was fun. Sunday we had a Thanksgiving in Ottumwa for Eric's family. We then went home and watched the Steelers play a pathetic game of football.

Largest Selection of Wall Fountains

So my mom is a pretty hard person to shop for during the holidays. It’s not that she’s picky, it’s just that she already has tons of knick knacks and a lot of clothes, and most of her collections are almost complete. So when I found out about Wall Fountains I was really excited. They offer Wall Fountains that don’t require any special plumbing or electrical hookups. You just add water, plug in and enjoy! I thought it was a perfect indoor gift that no one had thought of to give her before. I was paid for this post.

Saturday Night

Well my sister Danielle is back for the night. We all made dinner together and we are getting ready to drink some beer. Then I think we're going to head to the bar. I know one of the local bars has karoke on Saturday nights. We're going to meet some of our cousins up there. It should be a good night. Hopefully no one will throw up tonight. Usually someone in the group overindulges a smidge and vomits. Oh well we have a good time and that's all that matters.

Fridays last forever!!!

Could this day go any slower? Man, I don't think it could. It's only been three hours since I've gotten back from lunch and it feels like 10 hours. It could be that we actually have plans tonight. We're going out for dinner and drinks with my parents and aunt Beth and uncle Bob. A new Chinese restaurant has opened in Oskaloosa and we're all excited to go to it. I love Chinese, I wish there were better Chinese restaurants around here. Anywho...........

Booking a last minute hotel

My fiancé and I love to travel and in the past when we have wanted to travel we have had to pay outrageous prices to fly or even to stay in a hotel. Once in a while I’d find a good deal on the internet, but for the most part we would get stuck with a huge airline bill. Well if you are like us and you love to travel, especially if you like to travel to the United Kingdom, and if it is usually last minute, have I got Last Minute Hotel Rooms for you. It’s easy to search for any destination in the United Kingdom. You can search through hundreds of towns in fifteen regions, you can even decide on your max price and it can search using just that information. You can choose between hotels, cities, country retreats, costal classics, ideal base and a luxury collection. You can even choose your Last Minute Hotel Room by near by attractions or you might even choose to have an adults only vacation or you might choose to travel in a big group. If any of these apply to you, you need to take a peek at Last Minute Hotel Rooms. I was paid for this post.

TGIF!!!

I can't believe it but I think I have Saturday AND Sunday off this weekend. It's amazing. It'll be the first whole weekend I'll have off since July. I have a whole list of things I'd like to get done. I'd love to get our Christmas lights up this weekend since we didn't get it done last weekend. We need to vacuum and mop the kitchen floor. Eric also needs to recaulk the the shower. We're going to set traps on Saturday afternoon so hopefully we'll catch something. Eric was so proud of himself. When we're in Ottumwa, we need to stop and look at the cadleabras that we can rent there.

Hotel Reservations

I’m getting married March 1, 2008 and we’re not leaving on our honeymoon till March 3. So we were looking for a hotel to stay in near the airport. We didn’t want anything fancy or expensive with a lot of frill. We just wanted a bed to sleep in for the night that was close to the airport so that we didn’t have to get up in the middle of the night to get ready and drive an hour and a half to the airport to get on our 6 am flight. I searched all of the popular sites that are advertised on television, on the radio and all over the internet and I couldn’t find a site that I liked better than this site for Hotel Reservations. They have highly competitive rates that you can’t find just anywhere. They also offer huge discounts on world wide destinations. They offer convenient pull down menus for 15 different countries with hundreds of destinations. You can also search in 4 different languages on their website. If you’re not sure where you want to stay but know that you want to stay near a certain landmark, you can search using those parameters too. If you’re looking to travel internationally there is a Spanish site, a French site, a German site and an Italian site you can visit to see what their countries have to offer. Do you hate to fly? Are you looking for a short weekend getaway? Well if you do, there’s a place for you as well. You can plan a road trip anywhere from 1 hour to 6 hours away from any zip code you enter. How handy is that? If you’re planning a short getaway or a nice vacation, use Hotel Reservations to plan an affordable trip. I was paid for this post.

On To Regional Semifinals

VOLLEYBALL WON!!! It's so exciting! We won the first game easily 30-14. We then lost the second game 29-31. Then the third game was really scary. We won 30-28. Then won the fourth game fairly easily 30-21. It was awesome to watch. I'm so proud of them. They've worked really hard for this. It's hard to have a new coach at the beginning of the season, but they have done it.

More Wedding Stuff

So my mom and I went shopping around yesterday for a unity candle. I really wanted one that had our engagement picture on one side and then on the back was our invitation, but I can not find one that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. I was searching on ebay all day and found a couple that I really liked but they are way too expensive for us to use for 20 minutes during our ceremony. I found one at Mahaska Drug that I'll probably use. It's $26, but it's a fancy one like I found on the internet. Now I need to find our candelabras.

Online Coupon Site

I love to save money when I’m shopping all year long, not to mention during the holidays. Since Christmas is just around the corner, make sure to shop with your favorite store’s Online Coupons to save some money. I was paid for this post.

Volleyball Game

Tonight we have the first round of our regional volleyball tournament. We play St. Ambrose at 7 pm. We've already played and beat them this year twice, so tonight should be quite exciting. If we lose, we are done for this season. However, if we win, we play on Friday at a site to be determined when tonight's games are all finished. I love to watch volleyball, it's such a fun game to play and watch.

Day Off!

I have today off! It's nice to have days off in the middle of the week because then I can actually clean my house without Eric undoing everything that I'm trying to pick up. I'm going to have Reese this afternoon too. I usually have her the whole day when I'm off but since she just started at her new babysitters, Ash only wants me to have her in the afternoon. I think I'll take her to the park since it's like 60 degrees outside. She had diarrhea yesterday, we think she's getting her 2 year molars. Anyways, I'm going to go bake some cookies.

I HATE MONDAYS!!!

I HATE MONDAYS!!! It might have something to do with only have MAYBE one day off a week, but it's irritating. Josh is off today so that will be nice to be here by myself today. I'm glad football is over though. That's a whole group of kids I won't see till next year. Some of them will stop in to see us, but most we won't see again for 9 months. YAY!!! So Eric caught 3 things in his traps yesterday, 2 raccoons and a opossum. He was sooooooo excited. At least we know that he can do it now. And he's making $20 a big coon hide so that will help with expenses. But I need to put the football knee braces away. It's a dirty, smelly job but someone has to do it and since Josh didn't do it yesterday, it looks like it's now become my problem.

Math Tutors

As someone who excels at math, I know that not everyone finds math as easy as I do. But I do know that there are learning centers out there that make math easy to understand in new and fun ways for any child who might struggle math. So if your child find math difficult, look to Score Learning Centers and their Math Tutors to help. I was paid for this post.

Trap Checking Day

Well we didn't get our lights up, hopefully next weekend. We did go check Eric's traps at his parents house though. It's just an excuse to get our 4 wheeler out. It's fun riding around Eric's parent's land. Eric's getting really frustrated because he's not catching anything in his traps. He's reading a bunch of magazine articles about it and asking everyone he knows what he's doing wrong. Last week he had 4 out of the 8 traps set off. So at least there's been activity around them. Oh well, better luck next time.

Innovative Tutor

Working in an educational setting, I realize that not all students learn at the same rate, or in the same manner. That’s why it’s important to have people out there who care how your student is performing academically. Let the people at Innovative Tutor help your child to learn in a fun and original way. I was paid for this post.

Praise the Lord for a day off!!!

Praise the Lord for a day off!!! They are few and far between sometimes in my line of work. I'd like to get our outside Christmas lights up today. We'll see how motivated Eric is when he gets out of bed. We always put colored icicle lights up around our roof. I'd like to put normal colored lights around our windows that face the road too. I LOVE CHRISTMAS!!! It's my favorite time of year. I love to buy presents and give them to people. That's the hard part is waiting for Christmas day to actually give people their presents.

Saturday, November 10, 2007

I wish I didn't have to work today because my brother in law wrestles for Iowa State University and they had the Iowa State Open today. It is always a great tournament to go watch. There are a lot of division I, division II, division III and NAIA schools there. It's a huge tournament. He just got cleared to wrestled to last Thursday the 8th of November. He's been battling a bulging disc in his neck for the past year. But the doctors think he's healthy enough to wrestle now. Good job Aron!

Game starts in 11 minutes. I hate road games, but at least we'll get home at a good time. It's a noon game so we should get home by 6 or 7. That's awesome. We can all still go out and do something on Saturday night. Yeah, like we'll do anything. We'll probably rent a movie and order a pizza. That's the extent of most of our weekends. We're old people. We never do anything exciting.
So we leave at 7:00 AM to go to Quincy, Illinois to play football today. They have the same record as we do, so hopefully we'll win. It's the last game of the season so it would be nice to go out with a win. OH IT'S SOOOOOOOOO EARLY!!! I hate getting up early. Especially just to drive another 2.5 hours to get to a game that I have to work at for the next 5 or 6 hours. UGGGG LONG DAY AHEAD!!!

Eric and I picked out the tuxes. We're using the camo vests that I blogged about earlier. The guys are wearing just tradional black tuxes with black shoes. The guys are wearing black shirts with black long ties. Eric is wearing a black tux, ivory shirt, black long tie and camo vest. They are going to look very sharp! I can't wait to see him in it. He will look soooooooo sexy!!! We also ordered our bridesmaid dresses yesterday so they'll be in the middle of January sometime. I am getting so excited for my wedding!

He originally said that he wanted to get bow ties because no one does that anymore, but I was like lets think about that. But if that's what he really wants than I let it fly. He hasn't had an opinion on much that I've been doing, so the least I could do is let him pick out the tuxes.

Ultimate Paintball

When I get bored, I love to shoot my friends. You read me right. I love to shoot my friends, with paintballs of course. I recently heard about this great company that is a top of the line online paintball store. They sell all the great brands of paintball guns like Tippmann, Spyder, Smart Parts, Dye, Empire, Draxxus paintball gear plus many more brands which you can find on their website. Their top selling guns are Tippmann A-5, Tippmann 98 Custom, Smart Parts Ion, Spyder Pilot ACS. And best of all, they offer the best prices AND FREE SHIPPING AND HANDLING. So when you want to shoot your friends look to the guys and Ultimate Paintball to assist you with anything you might need concerning paintballs, paintball guns and any other accessory you might need. I got paid for this post.
Our men's and women's varsity basketball teams play tonight at 6 PM and 8 PM. The girls are playing amazing lately. Our women's jv basketball team won last night. I haven't seen the guys play yet, but they are always fun to watch. My dad coached wrestling for the past 17 years so I never watched basketball a lot, but it's pretty entertaining.

Talent Rock

Are you looking for a new job? Or maybe you are looking to make some extra spending money? Well if that’s true than have I got an opportunity for you. I’m talking about Talent Rock. They are talent agents looking for models, singers, actors, dancers and comedians. It’s this year’s industry event so DON’T MISS IT!!! I was paid for this post.
TGIF!!! But that statement doesn't really ring true to me since I usually work 7 days a week. But it's still nice to do just games and practices on the weekends and not worry about teachers and professors being around. Luckily they don't usually bother us though so that's nice. I have to go to the football game on Saturday in Quincy Illinois. It should be a good game, I'm hoping since it's the last game of the season.

I signed up for PPP!

While talking with my friend Stacie she told me of a great opportunity that she had discovered recently. She said that her and her whole family were all blogging and using Pay Per Post to earn some extra money. She said that I could get paid to do something that I was already taking part in. I could get paid to blog. I thought was a fantastic idea!!! I could make some extra money for my wedding, and of course for our honeymoon, which are both taking place in March of 2008. I could also use the extra cash to pay for Christmas gifts since Christmas is only 34 days away. I began blogging to express my feelings. I use it as a diary, kind of. It’s nice to be able to write things that are on my mind and know that I won’t be ridiculed for my beliefs and opinions. Another reason that I love to Pay Per Post is that I can make extra money while I write blogs during my slow times at work or when I bored at home. If you are looking for an easy way to earn a few extra dollars, whether it be for Christmas gifts, everyday bills or just some extra spending money, I highly recommend using Pay Per Post. It’s fun, easy and very fast. I got paid for this post.
The game starts in 11 minutes. The guys are all jacked up!!! That's a good sign. The games that I have worked that they have been flat before the game, they have lost bad. Hopefully everyone will do well and no one will get injured. I hate road games when people get hurt, I hate it anytime when they get hurt but especially on the road. You never know where the hospital is or what kind of service you'll get once you get there. Oh well, hopefully I won't have to worry about any of that.
I don't have to be at work till 1:00 PM today because I have to work a women's jv basketball game. Our girls are actually good this year. The varsity team has started out 2 and 0. Which is 1 less game than they won in all of last year. Crazy huh?!? It's nice for them to be winning. I know a lot of girls left the team and the school because of basketball. Hopefully we can keep all these new girls around. And to top it all off, we only have one senior. That's great.

Perfect gift for employees

Have you ever wondered what to get your employees for the perfect gift? Are you a person that likes to be outside? Do you know what you are getting the person that has everything. I recommend getting them a beach cruisers. It’s a great way for them to have fun in the sun alone or with their families on their day off. I got paid for this post.

Today is a busy day. We host the semifinals for the MCC volleyball tournament. We also have our wrestle offs last night and tonight. The finals are just tonight though so there shouldn't be too many matches, 6 I think as long as all the guys that won last night continue to win tonight. Since volleyball is seeded #1 and we're #1 in the conference out right, regardless if we win or lose, we continue on to the regional tournament. Pretty cool huh?!?

Garage Floors

Is your garage floor in need of repair? Does your garage floor have more cracks in it than the side of a mountain? Is your garage floor stained? Or do you just want to update the look of your garage floor? Well if you answered yes to any of these questions than a new garage floors might be for you. New garage floors can be cleaned up and sealed and look brand new again. Even old, cracked, stained floors can be cleaned and covered to look better than when they were first finished. I got paid for this post.

Tuesday, November 6, 2007

So I'm pretty sad today. Eric and I had our engagement pictures last night, which were really fun. But it got me thinking about how all of my grandparents are deceased and I only have my stepgrandpa. My mom's dad died when she was seven so this is the only grandpa that I knew on my mom's side, but he's changed since my grandma died last year. He's dating this woman none of us care for and he's never around anymore. We used to go to their house on Sundays to visit them and now if you stop over he's always at her house. My dad's dad died my senior year of high school. That was a bad one. Then 16 months later my dad's mom died. I still get really upset when I let myself think about them. I won't have any grandparent at my wedding or the birth of my children. It's been a rough couple of days to say the least.

Saturday, November 3, 2007

Well I'm in the middle of the suckiest day of the year. I was here at 11 am to work 2 basketball games, one game was at 1pm and the other game was at 3pm. Then we have are one and only night football game of the season tonight at 6pm. So the guys have been in and out of here all day. Then to top that all off we host the first round of the MCC tournament tonight at 7pm for volleyball. So it's been a busy day. Right now I'm just waiting for the volleyball game to start. We won both basketball games and kickoff is about to take place. The volleyball game should go pretty fast because we won the conference out right and we are playing the #9 seed. So I'll keep my fingers crossed that this goes fast. I'M READY TO GO HOME!!!

Monday, October 29, 2007

I HATE MONDAYS and to top it all off, Josh called in sick today. I hate it when he does that. I bet he didn't even look at our schedule to see if we had anything going on today. Plus there's a men's basketball scrimmage at 6 so I'll have to be here all evening and end up working 12 hours or so. He'd never let me miss a day when we had anything but practices going on. He irritates me sometimes. But it was nice not having to deal with him today. He's been pretty moody lately. He's driving the kids nuts too. Oh well he told me he'd try to get me a day off in the middle of the week so I can't complain. He's a pretty good boss when it comes down to it.

Sunday, October 28, 2007

Yesterday I had Angie and Jeremy's wedding. It was fun. The fall colors looked amazing with our brown bridesmaid dresses. We started pictures at noon and were done by 2 and then we had an hour and a half to just sit and wait. The other bridesmaids and groomsmen went to the bar that was down the block from the church. We tried keeping it from Angie but I think she figured it out when she couldn't find any of them. Their unity candle was awesome. It had their engagement picture on the front and the inside of their invitations on the back. I need to get a hold of her to get the lady's name that made it. It was awesome.

Tuesday, October 23, 2007

Well here are the vests that Eric picked out. They're cool. I've never been to a wedding where they had camo vests. Plus Eric and all the groomsmen love to hunt so it's quite appropriate for them to all wear camo. Plus I was thinking about having a couple of my girls wear green dresses just to tie in the green and the purple. We're not having anything else camo, I'm not a freak. Plus having this made Eric happy and that's a plus.

Saturday, October 20, 2007

Today our football team plays McKendree College out of Illinois. They are really good so hopefully it'll be a good game. Last year we went to McKendree and they stomped us. It was a terrible game. We had a lot of injuries, which seems to happen when you're getting your butt beat. But this year, hopefully it'll go a lot better. This team should be doing a lot better than their record shows. We've had a lot of injuries this year, and it's hard to win a game without all our key players. I just hope today's game goes well and no one gets hurt.

Wednesday, October 17, 2007

Last night the men's and women's soccer teams wore pink jerseys for breast cancer awareness month. It was awesome. There were a lot of basketball players and football players at their games that usually don't come because they play in the afternoon. But last night they played under the lights that Musco donated. It looked pretty cool out there in the middle of the field it was all dark and then there was a lit up soccer field right in the middle.

Saturday, October 13, 2007

Well everyone is away this weekend, but of course we have men's and women's basketball practices to cover. Some days my job is pretty irritating. When we start having kids, I'd love to work a 9-5 job at a rehab clinic or physical therapy clinic but there aren't many around here to do that at. I definitely don't want to be working 90 hour weeks when I have kids. My mom was home for us when we were growing up so I want to be there for my kids too. And since Eric is working normal hours now I want to get a job that has more regular hours.

Wednesday, October 10, 2007

I got my bridesmaid dresses picked out. I think they'll look good on all the girls. We're using the purple one's on the left. I love the color. Not I just have to get all of the girls in to get fitted. That might take a little bit. Hopefully not too long because they take a while to get in and I want them to get altered if they need to. Since we're having 5 attendants, I'd like to do purple, green, purple, green, purple. So that there's a variety up there for people to look at. But I don't know how that'll fly with everyone else. I need to talk to my mom about that.

Sunday, October 7, 2007

Today we had Trent's birthday. I can't believe he turned 16. That's crazy. We all go together at Beth and Bob's house. We played a game of touch football and of course a game of horse on the basketball court. I was on fire today. I think I won 3 games in a row of horse. Of course Eric and I both suck when it comes to shooting baskets, but I'm ok with that. We ran to town to look at bark collars for our dogs, but didn't find any cheap ones. There was a complaint for our side of the block that all our dogs barked too much. So we thought instead of paying a $300 fine, we'd just go buy a couple and put them on the dogs. Hopefully we can find some cheap ones.

Saturday, October 6, 2007

One year ago today my grandma died. I can't believe it's been a year already. And today of all days, I have to go with the football team on a road trip. Hopefully it'll go by fast and I can hang out with my family tonight. I know my mom and my aunts won't be doing very well. I've called my mom a couple of times this morning and she hasn't answered. I bet they're all out at the cemetary putting stuff on my grandma's grave. They keep it really decorated and pretty. She always had plants and flowes and wind chimes and little knick knacks out in her yard so they do the same for her grave site. I need to go put something there today. Maybe I'll get a stone or a yard thing for her.

Thursday, October 4, 2007

Happy birthday Reese Layne!!! She turns 2 years old today. Even though she's only my niece, she's my pride and joy. I love her with all my heart, and can you blame me? Look at how beautiful she is! She can do no wrong. We bought her a bunch of stuff. She's having a princess party so I bought her a princess sleeping bag. We bought her a Dora the Explorer tent that she can camp in. We also bought her a bunch of books. She loves to be read to. She's so smart. She can count to 10, knows most of her alphabet, and she knows a lot of colors. Amazing isn't she. She's the best!!!

Sunday, September 30, 2007

Well it's about to get a whole lot busier around here. All of our winter sports officially begin practicing tomorrow, even though most of them have been going for a month already. That's another 150 kids that I have to watch over and deal with on a daily basis. I'm kind of ready for fall sports to be done though. I've been watching around 4-5 soccer pratices (men's and women's) a week for the past 8 weeks. That's a lot of soccer. They're a good group of kids though. I like them, they are probably my favorite group of kids.

Friday, September 28, 2007

Well it's homecoming week so that means football is at home tomorrow. Home games are always a cluster. It's so much easier if we have all of our students to help. Hopefully everyone will be here. Men's and women's soccer were at home on Wednesday. The women lost and the men won. I don't know why the girls aren't better. They have a pretty good group of girls to work with. The guys too. They are a lot better than what their records says they are. Same with football though. We started out strong and have kind of petered out since the beginning of the season. Hopefully we'll win our homecoming game because it will be packed.

Tuesday, September 25, 2007

Well I found a different dress. I ordered it from our local shot here in Osky. I like it a lot, it's very pretty. I look pretty darn good in it too! It won't be in till the end of December. Wow!!! I BOUGHT A FREAKING WEDDING DRESS!!! Now things are seeming a little more real. I'm so excited there's so much more to think about... bridesmaid dresses, tuxes, flowers, decorations, favors. I have our photographer, DJ, church, reception site, invitations, caterer. There's still lots to do though.

Friday, September 21, 2007

Well my mom and I ran to Ottumwa dress shopping last night. They said that they could order the dress that I originally wanted. And the shop owner said that the two dresses, mine and "my friends" aren't even that similar. She said that when it comes to dresses there are only so many variations that designers can come up with. But that I shouldn't worry because our weddings are 7 1/2 months apart and no one would remember what my dress looks like by then. But I still don't know if I want to do that or not. I think it will cause way to much drama and I'm just not in the mood to hear "my friend" bitch right now.

Wednesday, September 19, 2007

TROY KENNETH KLETT was born yesterday!!! CONGRATULATIONS Bec and Jake!!! I can't even go to the shower next weekend because I'm going to St. Ambrose with the football team. Eric and I will have to get them a gift and take it out to their new house. Pam sent us a picture of the 3 of them. They all looked exhausted, but beautiful just the same. I talked to Bec yesterday and she said that they didn't need anything, so I have no idea what to get them. Oh well, I'll figure something out, I suppose.

Friday, September 14, 2007

Well now "my friend" has called my sister to say what a horrible person I'm being with this dress thing. We've been exchanging emails, not so nice ones at that, because she's a total child and won't even call me to talk to me about a dress that I haven't even bought yet. So I guess I know where this friendship is headed. STRAIGHT DOWN THE POOPER!!! I promised her that I'd try and find a new dress and that she shouldn't even be making such a big deal out of this but of course she is, because that's what she does. She's telling people that I'm trying to ruin her day?!? What the hell? I haven't done anything but part of me wants to buy the dress I like and say the hell with her. But I promised I'd try and find a new one, so I hope I can. For our friendships sake at least, if there's still a friendship.

Tuesday, September 11, 2007

So there's been some wedding drama. One of my best friends was supposed to have gotten married this summer, well they postponed it and are not getting married next October. Well when I was describing my dress to her she flipped out and was saying that it sounded like hers and that I was trying to ruin her day and that if I was a good friend, I would never do that to her and BLAH BLAH BLAH!!! She's supposed to email me a picture of her dress and I'm supposed to email her a picture of mine so that we can compare. We'll see!!! She's such a baby! Of course she never once took in to consideration my feelings ever. But she's an only child, what more should I expect?

Sunday, September 9, 2007

So I ordered my wedding invitations a few minutes ago. They are white and they have two hearts combined on the top and there are smaller hearts and other lines all in purple down the sides. I can't believe I ordered my wedding invitations, we haven't even been engaged a month and I feel like, for the most part, I have a lot of the stuff done. We went dress shopping in Des Moines yesterday and I think I found my dress. I love it so much!!! It's beautiful, but I want to shop around a little because I don't want to have to drive to Des Moines to do all of my fittings. Hopefully somewhere around here will have a similar dress.

Tuesday, September 4, 2007

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BETH!!! Beth is my mom's younger sister. She is married to my uncle Bob. They have 2 boys named Seth and Trent. Seth and Trent are both in high school. Beth and Bob own Certified Pest Control. He's the best bug man around! Their business is growing so fast. I bet he travels in a 50 mile radius of Oskaloosa just to spray people's houses. We all wanted to name the business "What's Bugging Bob?" That would have been funny.

Monday, September 3, 2007

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ARON!!! Aron is my brother-in-law who wrestles for Iowa State University. He's awesome and seems to keep getting the short end of the stick when it comes to wrestling. He got screwed in high school when it came to wrestle offs and now that has followed him to ISU. He's also been a little injury prone. 2 years ago he had to have his knee scoped and then when he got back from that he stretched his UCL in his elbow. Last year we discovered that he had bulging discs in his neck so that put a halt to last year. He got cleared to wrestle this year, but is still having symptoms. I know that makes my sister nervous. She just doesn't want him to get seriously or permanently hurt so that he can't wrestle with their children.

Friday, August 31, 2007

We have our first home football game tomorrow morning. Home games kind of suck. We have to be at work at 9 am to get the guys taped and to do the treatments that they want and to get all of the waters and coolers out to the field by noon. The game starts at 1 pm. They won their game last week, so they started off on a good note. Hopefully this season will go really well. Maybe we can even have a winning season this year. That would be awesome. This is a pretty good group of guys so I guess we'll see what their made of.

Saturday, August 25, 2007

WE GOT ENGAGED LAST NIGHT!!! MY RING IS SO AWESOME!!! I WAS SO SURPRISED!!! HE DID SUCH A GOOD JOB!!! Well actually he picked a fight with me and slammed our bedroom door in my face and when I opened the door, he was standing there on one knee. Pretty darn tricky huh!?! He knew thought that if he did anything too special that I would know that it was coming. There's so many things to start planning. What will my dress look like? What colors will we have? Who will stand up with us. We're thinking that we'll get married during spring break of next year. So that means March 1, 2008. That's only 6 months and a week. HOLY CRAP!!!

Wednesday, August 22, 2007

THANK GOD SCHOOL STARTED TODAY!!! I'm getting really sick of watching football practice and soccer practice. It'll be nice to be able to sit at my desk for more than 10 minutes and get some paperwork done. I need a laptop that I can take outside with me so that I can check all the athlete's paperwork in out on the field. That would seriously decrease my time at my desk at night. I actually might get to see Eric before it's time to go to bed. That would be nice to be able to eat dinner with him again.

Wednesday, August 15, 2007

Eric loved all his gifts. He's pretty easy to shop for. He always wants something. I just have to write it all down so I don't forget. I love ordering stuff off E-bay or the internet for him because he always gets the mail because he gets home first. So I love when I can surprise him with a gift. He's like a little kid when it comes to gifts. He's pretty good and getting me things too. When he knows I'm in a bad mood he'll stop and get me a rose or he'll attempt to make dinner for me. He even offers to give me foot and back massages. He's a great guy!

Tuesday, August 14, 2007

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ERIC!!! Today is my boyfriend's 28th birthday. I got him so many gifts. We always put a cap on the amount we're supposed to spend on each other for holidays but neither of us follow it. We've been looking for good feather pillows because he still uses his disgusting pillow from when he was a kid. So I bought him a feather pillow. I also got him a magazine couple for his rifle. I renewed his subscription for his favorite men's magazine. I also renewed his NFL Sunday ticket for DirectTV. He's also a huge Pittsburgh Steelers, so I got him a couple of Steelers shirts, a nice Steelers drinking glass and a cool Steelers light that lights up. It's awesome.

Saturday, August 11, 2007

Well all of our fall sports (excluding men's and women's cross country) have officially started practicing now. We started bright and early today at 6 am. Man the next couple of weeks are going to suck. We'll be here from probably 6 am till 10 pm. That starts getting old pretty darn quickly. Oh well we'll only have this for a couple of weeks and then school starts. It's been pretty hot around here so we need to watching the kids. We'll need to take some ice towels out to football. Those big guys overheat pretty quickly, especially those who aren't acclimitized to our heat and humidity.

Thursday, August 9, 2007

Well football has gone pretty well. It's nice having both ATCs and all 8 students and just having 1 sport to worry about that. That's all about to change. Volleyball and men's and women's soccer report tomorrow. But football is just doing a lot of running right now. You can always tell pretty quickly the guys that have actually been training all summer and the ones that have been drinking all summer. There were guys puking within the first half hour of running this morning. Hopefully that isn't a preview of how the entire season is going to go.

Wednesday, August 8, 2007

Well the football team starts 2-a-days today. They should all start coming in soon because their practice starts at 8am. Boys are funny. They all like to be taped way too early, but atleast it's not always at the last minute. We'll have some of those guys too. The soccer teams and volleyball teams report on Friday. My life is getting ready to be a whole lot more busy. Thank goodness. Summers working at a college is not very fun what so ever.

Monday, August 6, 2007

Well my students report in about a half hour. Today I'm going to be renewing their first aid/CPR/AED certifications with them. We are also going to work on air/vacuum splinting. Also on the agenda is spine boarding and c-collaring. These are all very crutial to learn if they all plan on helping us with football games. My first year here at WPU we had a DB break his back, T-11 & T-12 I think. That was really scary. But that's why we practice all of these things because you never know when you'll have to use it.

Thursday, August 2, 2007

Well 2-a-days are almost here. I've been cleaning the training room like a mad woman. I just got done refinishing out tile floors and sealing the mats in the room as well. I also repainted the whirlpool bench blue. I wish the PAC center was done. Then we would have a brand new training room WITH AIR CONDITIONING! But who needs air conditioning when it's only 103 degrees outside. My class that I teach is over tomorrow. THANK GOD!!! First aid has got to be the most boring class to teach and take. It makes it worse that we have to have it for 2.5 hours a day for like 6 weeks. Yikes, don't know if I'll ever teach that again.

Sunday, July 29, 2007

HAPPY 1st ANIVERSARY DANIELLE AND ARON!!! Danielle is my youngest sister. Her husband and her have been dating for 6 years and they finally got married. She is only 20 years old though. They live in Ames, Iowa. My brother-in-law wrestles for Iowa State University. It's so exciting going to watch him wrestle since we've been watching him since he was in grade school.

Sunday, July 22, 2007

So work is really slow and I have weekends off during the summer. Eric got a new job a couple of weeks ago. He's working for my dad. Which is nice because before he was working from 3pm-11pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays. He was also working from 11am-11pm on Saturdays and Sundays. Besides working every weekend, he also had to work every holiday. It sucked. But now it's awesome because he works 7am-5pm Monday through Friday.

Friday, July 20, 2007

My sister Ashley has the most wonderful, beautiful little daughter you've ever seen in your entire life. Her name is Reese Layne and she's 21 months old. I love babysitting her. We go to the park and I love taking her to get ice cream. She loves ice cream. She is also obsessed with Finding Nemo. That's the only thing she wants to watch. She doesn't really sit and watch it as much as listening to it while she's running laps around the living room and kitchen.

Monday, July 16, 2007

My boyfriend's name is Eric. I love him a lot. We've been togher for 2 years. We met through mutual friends. He went to school and was roommates with one of my good friends. They had a party one night and we met there. I've loved him ever since. I actually told him that I loved him that night. He always kids me about knowing that he loved me first.

Saturday, July 14, 2007

HAPPY ANIVERSARY MOM AND DAD!!! My parents are celebrating their 27th wedding anniversary today. That's a long time to be married. The got married about a month after my mom graduated from high school. I was born 1.5 years later and then my first sister, Ashley, came 2.5 years to the day after me and then my youngest sister, Danielle, came 2.5 years after that.

Friday, July 13, 2007

I graduated high school in 1999. I graduated from Central College in 2003. Then I graduated from the University of Kansas in 2005. I then accepted a job at the William Penn University where I'm still employed as an athletic trainer. It's a busy job. We have football, volleyball, men's and women's soccer, men's and women's cross country, men's golf, men's and women's basketball, wrestling, men's and women's track, baseball and softball. We are part of the NAIA division.

Wednesday, July 11, 2007

4th day of blogging. So some more about me...Like I said yesterday, I'm 26. I work at William Penn University in Oskaloosa, Iowa. I am an athletic trainer for 15 teams. It's a fun job, VERY TIME CONSUMING THOUGH. I got my undergraduate degree at Central College in Pella, Iowa and earned my Masters at the University of Kansas.

Tuesday, July 10, 2007

3rd day blogging. It's weird to think that anyone who want to can read this. I guess I could describe myself a little. I'm 26 and live in a Fremont, Iowa. My boyfriend and I bought our house last August. We've been together a little over a year. He's the best!!! I love him bunches!!!

Monday, July 9, 2007

2nd day blogging, still not quite sure what I'm doing. Supposedly I'll be getting paid once I've done this for awhile. Work's really slow right now. The kids come back in a few weeks though. Then it's like being hit with a Mack truck.

Sunday, July 8, 2007

1st Day Blogging

Today is my 1st day blogging. My friend, Stacie, set me up so I can start to make some extra money. She is a quack. I really am kinda nervous because I don't really know what I am doing. This whole process seems confusing. I hope that I catch on quick.
